The first edition of Barakei (1963), designed by Kohei Sugiura, is one of the great Japanese photobooks.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eFor this new edition Tadanori Yokoo redesigned the book entirely, regrouping the photographs into five chapters, with his own illustrations inside the portfolio. Mishima wrote a new preface and gave the work the English title Ordeal by Roses, in place of Killed by Roses.
