Lisa Lyon won the first World Women's Bodybuilding Championship in 1979 and then withdrew from competition, preferring to call herself a performance artist whose medium was her own body. This catalogue comes from her exhibition and performance at Laforet Museum Harajuku in Tokyo in the spring of 1984, a year after Mapplethorpe's Lady.

Its photographers show how many hands had shaped her image by then: Mapplethorpe, Helmut Newton, Kishin Shinoyama and Marcus Leatherdale. It also records her live performance in Tokyo, Contemporary Alchemy: Evolution Ritual.
