The catalogue of the survey the Institute of Contemporary Arts organised in 1983, which toured to Edinburgh, Bristol, London, Nottingham and Oxford over 1983 and 1984. It covers thirteen years of work: Polaroids and early constructions, flowers, portraits and figure studies.

The essays are a reason to own it. Stuart Morgan, among the sharpest British critics of the period, writes alongside Alan Hollinghurst, then at the Times Literary Supplement and five years from publishing The Swimming-Pool Library, a novel that shares these photographs' preoccupation with beauty, class and the classical male body. Sandy Nairne contributes the preface.

Issued only in softcover.
