Round close-ups of ordinary objects, photographed so that they read as distant worlds: a late series in which Tress, after decades of staging people, turned to the tabletop and the scale of the cosmos at once. Lodima Press published it in 2007 as the seventh of its Portfolio Books, printed in 600-line-screen quadtone to approach the tonal range of a silver print.

The circular format recalls the tondo of Renaissance painting, and the series plays the old game of the cabinet of curiosities, in which a shell or a pebble can stand for the universe. Prints from the series are in the collection of the High Museum of Art in Atlanta.
