A slim catalogue for Hujar's 1999 exhibition at Stephen Daiter Gallery in Chicago, published twelve years after his death, when his work was still little known outside New York. It reproduces eleven photographs and carries a short remembrance by Nan Goldin.

Goldin writes from inside the same world: both photographed the performers, writers and lovers of downtown New York, and both lost many of the same friends to AIDS. The catalogue is an early part of the slow recovery of Hujar's reputation that led to the major retrospectives of the 2010s.
